Spent a bit on shopping as I used some Gap credit from selling items on ThredUp. We spontaneously decided to do a Costco trip due to rental car promotion so we stocked up on food and gift cards. The beauty of Costco is that these items we last us for months. There was a power outage that caused a surge so we bought a new computer for our home automation. I decided to increase my charity contributions as I learned more about different local nonprofits. For travel, we booked a food tour for a future trip. I also decided to go ahead and get a new suitcase since my current one is quite heavy. I’ve been meaning to get a 4 wheel suitcase, and the one I wanted went on sale.

March 2024 Budget: $4,945

Mortgage: 57%

Groceries: 8%

I increased my mortgage budget slightly as I want to contribute more to the mortgage principal. I also increased the gift budget as I’ll be attending a wedding soon. Given my previous months dining out spending, I lowered my dining out budget slightly.
